John Black Tribute

Kolla in denna briljanta/komiska/underbara biografi om John Black, saxat från Wikipedia:

An amnesiac known only as "The Pawn" appears in Salem in 1986, soon naming himself "John Black" and meeting Dr. Marlena Evans.[1] As Marlena attempts to help restore his memory, they fall in love; a distinctive tattoo suggests that John may in fact be Marlena's presumed-dead husband Roman Brady.[1] Despite his lack of memories, "Roman" and Marlena marry, but she is soon kidnapped and ultimately presumed dead in 1987. John/Roman goes on to romance Diana Colville in 1988, but she leaves town in 1990 after accidentally shooting him.

In 1991, Marlena reappears alive, as does the real Roman. John eventually discovers that he is Forrest Alamain, brother to the evil Lawrence Alamain and nephew to wicked Vivian. Villain Stefano DiMera had brainwashed Forrest into believing he was Roman as part of Stefano's vendetta against the Brady family. "Forrest" decides to go back to using the name John Black, and in 1992 marries Isabella Toscano, with whom he has a son, Brady. Revealed to be the daughter of his nemesis Victor Kiriakis, Isabella dies of cancer that same year. John and Marlena fall into an affair, which is secretly discovered by Roman and Marlena's shocked daughter, Sami Brady. Marlena becomes pregnant and Sami determines that the baby is John's; she switches the blood tests to protect her father from the truth. In 1993 Marlena gives birth Belle, who is ultimately revealed to be John's daughter. John falls in love with Kristen Blake, who turns out to be Stefano's adopted daughter; Stefano tries to kill John to keep them apart. Kristen gets pregnant but loses the baby. Desperate to hold on to John, she passes off the newborn child of her own lookalike, Susan Banks, as John's baby. Though still in love with Marlena, John goes forward with his wedding to Kristen in 1997, not realizing that Susan has switched places with her. John discovers Kristen's lies and the fact that John, Jr. is not his child; he and Marlena profess their love for each other as a dying Roman returns to town. Marlena and Roman reuinite, but John interrupts their wedding with a cure for Roman. John and Marlena marry on July 5, 1999, but his recently-discovered past with thief and forger Princess Gina Von Amberg interferes in their relationship. Programmed by Stefano with Gina's memories as a replacement for the Princess, Hope Brady-as-Gina activates John's own pre-programming, taking "evil John" as her lover.

John and Marlena reunite, but a serial killer called the Salem Stalker begins murdering Bradys, Hortons and other Salem notables. John is horrified when Marlena is revealed to be the Stalker, and subsequently killed. Soon John discovers that the entire scenario had been a DiMera plot, and Marlena and her "victims" are in fact alive on a remote island. John is seriously injured in the rescue and Marlena and Roman are presumed dead. Addicted to painkillers, John falls for — and proposes to — Roman's widow Kate Roberts. They break off the engagement when Roman and Marlena reappear alive. Marlena is afflicted with amnesia after a fall, and the specialist summoned to help her — Dr. Alex North — turns out to be her first husband, presumed dead in the Vietnam War. John discovers in time that Alex is a fraud plotting to marry and kill Marlena. John and Marlena's subsequent reunion is cut short when a dying Stefano reignites his vendetta, and John is shot and put into a coma by EJ Wells. EJ turns out to be the son of Stefano and Susan Banks, the child whom John had thought was his own son with Kristen. John awakens in May 2007, but is later hit by a car and dies in Marlena's arms on October 17, 2007.

On January 8, 2008, John is revealed to be alive, and Stefano's prisoner.[1] Erased of his memories, John is programmed to assassinate Roman's aunt Colleen Brady, presumed dead decades ago but recently found alive. Colleen shocks John in February 2008 with the revelation that he is her son, Ryan Brady, and that his father is Stefano's own father, Santo DiMera. The Alamains had adopted John after Colleen had given him up and faked her own death. Still devoid of memories, John embraces life as a DiMera, indulging in illegal and self-destructive behavior and beginning an affair with Ava Vitali. Marlena files for divorce, but John soon tries to recommit himself to Marlena and remembering their life together. John's therapist nearly kills him in her plot of revenge against Marlena for a past slight; John is paralyzed, but his memories are restored. John and Marlena remarry in the hospital, and leave Salem for a treatment center in Switzerland on January 23, 2009.[1]
